“ABC Book of Toys” – A Jolly Book

I found this book in a dumpster of the estate of a doctor and her descendants. The home had not been lived in for 35+ years and was left intact. At the time of the auction, the buyers of the toy room did not want most of the contents, so the books had not been in the dumpster more than a day. Before that, I believe this collection belonged to the child, and grandchildren of the doctor, the first of whom was born in 1926 and the last in 1955. The collection was extensive (I saved over 150 books!) and contained many educational and church related books along with coloring books, picture books, and “how-to-draw” books.

Considering its age, this book has the expected wear and tear on the outside without much damage to the covers. The outer binding has an approximate 1-inch tear at the top and the inside binding completely turn from the pages. The pages are still intact with each other and are in good condition. We have not found a price for how much this book has sold online, but we found an asking price of $29.60.
